Eastleigh MP Chris Huhne is pictured looking at one of the key exhibits that will be on display at the Charity Model Exhibition at Barton Peveril College on 25 April in aid of Naomi House.
Chris Huhne was shown the life-like railway pier by Solent Model Railway Group chairman Ron Boreham and Paula Flower, the charity fund-raiser of Naomi House. It will be one of at least 20 rail layouts as well as a model car display, military models, radio-controlled boats and trade stands.
Chris Huhne, who will open the exhibition, said: "The exhibition promises to be great fun for all the family, with the money raised going to an excellent cause. If this splendid exhibit is typical, there are going to be some fantastic models to see".
"Naomi House has been a favourite charity of many people in Eastleigh for many years because of the great work it does with children who are in desperate need of hospice care. There is nothing more heart-rending than the early end of lives so full of hope and promise."
The Exhibition will run between 10am and 5pm on 25 and 26 April at Barton Peveril College, Chestnut Avenue, Eastleigh.
