Record numbers of young people visited Eastleigh's youth fair - "What can I do?" - to talk to sports, arts and volunteering organisations about their activities.
Eastleigh MP Chris Huhne, pictured here with keen members of the Eastleigh Rugby Football Club, opened the event at the Eastleigh Recreation ground.
Stands included young people involved with Centrestage youth productions who are auditioning for Les Miserables at the Point next February, the local brass band, and the Motorcycle club.
The idea is that young people can interview other youngsters and organisers who are trying to get people involved in their favoured activity.
"The fair is now in its third year, and is getting better and better" said Chris Huhne. "Local youngsters took a keen interest in questioning the organisers and other young volunteers for everything from the Motorcycle Club through to the Army and Royal Air Force cadets and the Rugby club.
"Eastleigh has a great tradition of voluntary and civic activity, and this fair helps to ensure that it starts young and remains alive" said Chris. "Any young person who cannot find something to excite them at this fair is determined to be bored".
