Eastleigh MP Chris Huhne has backed the campaign pressing for a fair, ambitious and binding agreement on climate change at the Copenhagen talks in December.
Chris Huhne is pictured here with (from left) Robert Spriggs, Kate Ross, Alison Callen and Liz Kent who are organising the Christian Aid campaign in Eastleigh.
Mr Huhne has supported a motion in parliament that welcomes the Prime Minister's decision to lead the British delegation and calls for a "fair, ambitious and binding agreement" to curb carbon emissions.
The motion calls on the Government to reject unabated coal powered electricity generating stations and to urge the European Union as a whole to commit to at least 40 per cent cuts below 1990 levels.
It also calls for significant finance for developing countries to help them continue to become more prosperous without sacrificing the planet.
