HUHNE WELCOMES WELLSTEAD OPENING AS BOON FOR HEDGE END

Eastleigh MP Chris Huhne welcomed the official opening of Wellstead primary school as an important contribution to the local community in Grange Park.

"Many more Hedge End parents will now be able to walk to and from school with their children, and the new school is a beautiful addition to Hampshire's school buildings and will be a key focus for community life in the Grange Park area" said Mr Huhne.

The official opening was performed by Michael Foreman, the children's author and illustrator, and was attended by the Mayor and Mayoress Cllr Derek and Mrs Cynthia Pretty, governors, parents, teachers and others involved in the building including the architects.
