Mark Harding

The Community Champion fighting for Eastleigh Central

Eastleigh Central By-Election - 8th May 2025

Mark Harding

Hands off Eastleigh!

With the Labour Government threatening a massive reorganisation of local government, telling councils to put forward merger ideas, Lib Dem campaigner Mark Harding has launched a petition to say “Hands off Eastleigh”.

The Government wants councils like Eastleigh to merge with neighbours, creating monster councils with populations of over 500,000. The County Council would be abolished.

There has been speculation of Eastleigh being dumped into Southampton. Our Lib Dem Council has already said a Southampton-Eastleigh Council won't work.

HANDS OFF EASTLEIGH!

Hands off Eastleigh

On Thursday 8th May we have a special election for our area for Eastleigh Borough Council

Mark Harding is the Lib Dem choice to stand up for our area on the Council. Mark is backed by Liz Jarvis MP and retiring councillor Bhavin Dedhia. This election is important. It will decide who stands up for our area over the coming years.

The Labour Government has already failed Eastleigh - CUTS to Disability benefits, an END to most Winter Fuel Allowances and SLASHING international aid, with energy prices UP

The Conservatives have axed vital services at Hampshire - they even wanted a massive £230 tax hike - they don't deserve to win! The Liberal Democrats stand up for our town all year, ever year. Only the Liberal Democrats can beat the Tories in our area. Labour cannot win here

Cameron

The Lib Dems have a record of ACTION for our town over decades.

  • LAUNCHED our “Hands off Eastleigh” campaign thanks to Mark Harding
  • PROTECTED vital local services despite massive cuts from the Conservative County Council
  • IMPROVED local green spaces at Grantham Green, Pirelli Park and Lawn Road
  • ACHIEVED town regeneration at Bandstand Court, Old Post Office, and more to come!
  • FORCED the County to resurface Derby Road
  • CREATED new jobs with redevelopments at the old Council Offices and around the Borough
  • SAVED YOU MONEY keeping Council Tax down

Only the Lib Dems work for you all year every year. Our area needs Mark elected here to stand up for YOU on our council - he's on YOUR side!

Mark and Paul

On Thursday 8th May, voters will have a clear choice at this by-election. They can send the Conservatives a message that they want a candidate in Mark who will stand up for our town and fight to protect local services.
